Grace Lanni

Author of "Be Inspired by Your Teen"

Grace Lanni is a hi-tech entrepreneur in Austin, Texas. As a 26 year old bride, she became a step-mom to 13 and 6 year old boys and within a few years added a boy and girl to the family. Today, Grace is raising her 16 and 14 year old teens and enjoy their step brothers as part of the family. Be Inspired By Your Teen is an invitation to parents and step parents of teenagers to engage in connected conversations and create a total wellness environment in the home.

"Be Inspired By Your Teen delivers lessons which ring true with parenting and are also powerful in business. I was reminded to ask my teenager just one question, STOP, and let the silence fill up with my love and care while I wait patiently for my teen's response. Strong and Powerful guidance. It sounds simple, and rarely leveraged by busy executives at home. Grace reminds us that as parents, we may not yet have it all figured out."

Robert Romano, CEO

Ms. Lanni wasn’t exactly planning to become an author. She was searching for resources and tools to support the changing teenage environment in her home, and was sorely disappointed by the online and written materials available. “People are reluctant to voice their teen parenting challenges. I learned to maintain my sanity as a step mom I had to reach out to my community, whether local or online, to support me in whatever problem I was facing. When my children were young, there were countless useful resources available. The challenges of raising and mentoring teenagers are much more complex, yet there is less published material. My wish is that more and more parents become vocal to insure they and their teenagers are as happy and healthy as possible.”

"This book provides stories which puts the reader into action and truly creates a bridge between an adult and a teenager. Grace is a true millennium Mom who places care and love for her family before her successful career and rallies other parents to do the same."
Leah Schwartz, Ph.D.
a best-selling author

“Executives can also be parents”, Ms. Lanni states, “in the world of web2.0, online communities such as myspace.com and facebook.com simply reflect the teenage conversations in our homes. Parents must engage in life-defining conversations with their teens if they intend to be their primary role models. I’ve invested my personal time in Be Inspired to ask parents and teachers to join me in developing the resources to lead these necessary talks.”
